Most new Daraz sellers lose money the same way: they buy stock because a product "looks popular", then find out it sells slowly or only at a loss. Here is a simple check you can do in ten minutes before you buy anything.
Roman Urdu mein khulasa: Stock khareedne se pehle 4 cheezein check karein: demand (kitna bikta hai), competition (kitne sellers), price range, aur fees ke baad munafa. Agar munafa 20% se kam hai ya sellers bohat zyada hain, to doosra product dhoondein.
1. Check the demand
Search the product on Daraz the way a buyer would, for example garlic press or wireless earbuds. Look at the first two pages of results and note for the top products:
- the number of ratings and reviews (more ratings usually means more sales),
- the "sold" count where Daraz shows it,
- whether many different sellers have reviews, or only one big seller.
If only one or two listings have reviews and the rest have none, the demand may be small or held by one strong seller.
2. Check the competition
Count how many sellers offer the same or a very similar item. Many sellers with the same picture and the same price usually means a price war. Also look at where the sellers ship from: if most are in Karachi and you are in Lahore, buyers in the north may get your parcel faster.
3. Note the price range
Write down the lowest, the average and the highest price of the top 10 products. Your price will usually need to sit near the average. If the lowest price is close to your buying cost, there is no room for profit.
4. Work out the profit after all fees
This is the step most sellers skip. From the selling price, take off:
- your buying cost and packing,
- Daraz commission (it depends on the category; check the current rates in Seller Center),
- the payment fee and any shipping fee you pay,
- tax deducted on your sales,
- an amount for returns and failed cash-on-delivery orders.

A simple rule: if the profit after all of this is below about 15–20% of the price, or below an amount that is worth your time per order, skip the product or find a cheaper supplier.
5. Start small
Even when the numbers look good, order a small first batch. Watch how fast it sells for two to three weeks, then reorder. Keeping about one to one-and-a-half months of stock is a safe start for most small sellers.
